However, sometimes it is more expedient to report the incident directly to the source; your insurance company. Most, if not all companies are turning to centralized claim reporting service centers to expedite the claims process, which in turn makes for a happier policyholder. The service center is usually a 24/7 operation in which you can speak to a real person, even during off hours.
